Thursday 26 March
Rowandale School were privileged to participate in a special Auckland War Memorial Museum presentation at the Manurewa Library. The month of March celebrates Pasifika Culture and Languages at all Auckland Libraries.
We had so much fun learning about ancient myths and legends from our island nations.
We learnt about:
- The Lulufeke or Makafeke (Octopus Trap)
- The Hinaki (Eel Trap)
- The Matau (Fish trap)
- The ancient Polynesian hand drill
- The Fagufagu (Nose flute)
- The Kundo (Papua New Guinea Drum)
Take a look at all the fun we had!
