Rowandale School goes to the ASB Polyfest

Friday 20 March
Today our Rowandale Pasifika, Kapa Haka and Indian culture groups went to the ASB Polyfest. The purpose of our trip was to learn more about our Turangawaewae "Our Place". This is the theme for our Term 1 Topic at school.

We saw the colourful costumes, we tasted many of the yummy traditional food and we also heard the sweet sounds of drums and singing coming from the different island villages.

We learnt a lot today and we are very excited to bring this all back to make our Rowandale culture groups even better!

We would like to say a special thank you to all our wonderful parent helpers who came to support us. Without you we would not have been able to have a fun and successful day.

Fa'afetai tele lava.
